Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the PipScribe desktop application, website, downloads, and related support. By installing or using PipScribe, you agree to these terms.
License and permitted use
PipScribe is licensed, not sold. A paid order grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the number of devices stated at checkout. You may use the application for personal or commercial transcription work, but you may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or redistribute the application or license credentials except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Trial, purchase, and updates
The trial is intended for evaluation before purchase. The current listed price is US$59, subject to the checkout terms shown at purchase. Available updates, platform support, and model downloads may change as the product develops. Taxes and payment processing are handled by the checkout provider where applicable.
Your media and content
You retain ownership of audio, video, transcripts, subtitles, prompts, and generated output that you provide or create. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions required to record, import, download, transcribe, translate, or otherwise process that content.
Video URLs and third-party sources
URL import is provided as a convenience and may stop working when a source website changes its rules or technology. You must comply with the source website's terms and applicable copyright, privacy, and recording laws. PipScribe does not grant rights to third-party media.
Models, translation, and AI services
Local models and third-party online services may produce incomplete or inaccurate output. When you enable an external translation, AI, or related online service, that service provider's terms, privacy policy, availability, and charges apply. Review important output before relying on it.
Availability and acceptable use
Do not use PipScribe to violate law, infringe rights, bypass technical protections, distribute malware, or process content without required consent. We may suspend license services or support where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security harm.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
PipScribe is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect transcription accuracy, or continuing compatibility with every file, model, website, operating system, GPU, or third-party service. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for PipScribe.
